Regatta Pulse — last updated: August 28, 2026
Regatta Pulse does not collect, store, or share personal data. It requires no account, shows no ads, and uses no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
The app uses your iPhone's and Apple Watch's GPS to measure speed, heading, and distance to the start line. All sailing data (tracks, sessions, events) is stored only on your device. You can export or delete it at any time from within the app.
To pre-fill the estimated wind, the app queries the free Open-Meteo service, sending your approximate coordinates. This request is anonymous: it contains no personal or device identifiers, and Regatta Pulse does not retain this data off your device.
The app uses the phone's motion sensors to compute heel and trim. This data is processed and stored only on your device.
Your sessions may be included in your iPhone's standard iCloud backup, managed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The "Export backup" feature creates a local file that only you decide where to share.
